What animal has a big voice among all the sea creatures? The answer is the blue whale. It is big in size, in fact larger than any dinosaur. The blue whale baby is also the biggest among newborn mammals in the world. But not too many people have seen these babies. No one seems to know where they live, nor what their ecological behavior is.

Farglory Ocean Park is holding an exhibition of the largest mammals in the world from July 11 to August 10. National Geographic Channel cooperated with Farglory Ocean Park to film the exhibition.

Called the "Big Blue" exhibition, it has virtual models of the blue whale baby. This is a good opportunity to focus on the importance of protecting marine biology and environment. The exhibition has many kinds of interactive features that enable visitors to enter the mysterious and beautiful world of the blue whale.

The virtual model of a two-month old blue whale baby is nine meters long. Bruce Mate, a whale expert in the world, said "I have never seen a blue whale." The pattern designers, sculptors and animators of National Geographic spent half a year to produce a replica of a blue whale baby.

General Manager & Senior Vice President Joanne Tsai (left) of National Geographic Channel in Asia said that through the exhibition, the organizers hope to transmit to everyone the importance of marine ecology conservation. National Geographic channel normally uses high-definition HD video camera to produce images of huge animals. They also used satellites to take pictures of blue whale migration, and used complex hydromagnetic microphone to record the sounds they make.

Mark Zhaoub (center) is an ambassador of marine conservation. He recorded a documentary in Chinese about the Big Blue. That Chinese version premiered on National Geographic Channel at 8 p.m. on July 11. Rebroadcast times are 9 p.m. and 3 p.m. on July 20. For more information about ocean creatures, National Geography Channel will play a series of programs called "The Ocean Kingdom."
