Four Chinese gymnasts performed a spectacular routine in the men's group finals of the acrobatic gymnastics event at the World Games Wednesday to capture a well-deserved gold medal.

Performing to the Yellow River Piano Concerto, Fang Sheng, Han Youliang, Xue Wangxin and Zhao Yuchao amazed the audience with one difficult jump after another and tumbling and synchronized movements that demonstrated both balance and body coordination.

The routine earned a score of 28.764, with a 10.014 for difficulty, a 9.3 for artistic merit, and a 9.45 for execution. The gold medal was the first China had won in the World Games gymnastics competition.

The team from Great Britain won silver with a score of 28.46, and Ukraine took the bronze.

China also had success in one of three trampoline gymnastics events contested Wednesday, tying with Ukraine for gold in the women's synchronized trampoline finals.

Russian gymnasts won the other two gold medals at stake in the double mini trampoline finals.

Russia's Kirill Ivanov grabbed the gold with a total score of 76.4 for his two routines in the men's double mini trampoline finals. Ivanov was tied after the first routine with Portugal's Nuno Lico, edged his Portuguese rival in the second routine by seven-tenths of a point to win gold.

In the women's double mini trampoline final, Russia's Victoria Voronina took the gold with a total score of 69.8 for her two routines.
