Romanian officials say an Air France plane made an emergency landing in the Romanian capital after an 85-year-old passenger died.Aviation investigation chief Mircea Ciuca says that after landing, the Boeing 777 remained at the airport due to technical problems.
It was not immediately known what caused the passenger's death.
The plane was flying from Paris to Singapore when it made an emergency landing early Wednesday at the Henri Coanda airport. Aviation expert Sorin Stoicescu said it was customary for planes to land at the nearest airport when a passenger died.
Ciuca said Air France was "taking measures to resolve the situation."
Antena 3 television station reported there were some 300 passengers on board.
