Biden to hear Central European concerns on Russia

The White House says that Vice President Joe Biden wants to hear concerns from allies nervous about U.S. Russia policy during a visit to Poland, Romania and the Czech Republic this week.

Leaders in Central Europe have expressed unease with the U.S. administration's decision to alter missile defense plans made under the Bush administration that provoked Russian opposition. The Obama administration has sought a closer relationship with Moscow, but says the decision was not made with that goal in mind.

Biden's national security adviser, Tony Blinken, said Monday that the administration is "seeking close relations with Russia but not at the expense of our partners.
