Management of Britain's Royal Mail and the Communication Workers Union have agreed to resume negotiations on Monday.Postal workers who are resisting management plans to modernize the service walked off their jobs on Thursday and Friday.
On Saturday, the two sides said they had accepted an invitation from the head of the Trades Unions Congress to resume negotiations.
The TUC's leader, Brendan Barber, played a key role in resolving a postal strike two years ago.
