Guyana's presidential spokesman says the U.S. has revoked his tourist visa as police in the South American country investigate allegations he tried to lure a teenage boy to have sex.Kwame McKoy said late Tuesday the decision is unfair and is based on mere allegations. He denies the accusations against him.
He also is a member of a children's rights commission and has so far survived calls for his resignation.
Several other Guyanese officials have had their visas revoked during investigations for various allegations. They include National Security Minister Clement Rohee and Police Chief Henry Greene.
The U.S. Embassy has repeatedly declined comment.
