A medical team assembled? by Taiwan's International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) has won acclaim in Paraguay for performing 15 artificial joint replacement procedures in the past week on Paraguayan patients.
由我國國際合作發展基金會集結的一支醫療隊，過去一週對巴拉圭的病人施行了十五次人工關節置換手術，在巴拉圭贏得讚譽。
At a news conference held Thursday to brief the media on the
achievements of the Taiwanese medical team, Paraguay's Ministry of
Public Health and Social Welfare said that the team also shared its
expertise and experience with the medical staff at the hospital where
it was working.
巴拉圭公共衛生暨社會福利部部長在二十二日舉行的記者會上，簡介台灣醫療團的成就，他說醫療團也與其現在服務的醫院醫務人員，分享了其專業知識和經驗。
"Our medical personnel have learned much through this type of
exchange, " said Ana Bordon, a department chief in charge of hospital
affairs at the Paraguayan health ministry.
在巴拉圭衛生部負責醫院事務的安娜博東說：「透過這種類型的交流，我們的醫務人員都學到了很多。」
Bordon expressed gratitude on behalf of the Paraguayan government
for the Taiwan team's professional and attentive care of the local
patients, all of whom have been doing well since they had joint
replacement surgery at National Itagua Hospital in Asuncion.
博東代表巴拉圭政府向台灣團隊致謝，稱讚他們對當地患者做了專業而周到的照顧，亞松森國立伊陶瓜醫院的患者接受關節置換手術後，狀況都良好。
Republic of China Ambassador to Paraguay Huang Lien-shen, who was
also at the news conference, presented 18 cases of pharmaceuticals
and medical supplies to Paraguay's health ministry on behalf of the
ICDF.
中華民國駐巴拉圭大使黃哩?申也出席了記者會，並代表國際合作發展基金會贈與巴拉圭衛生部十八箱藥品和醫療用品。
The ICDF medical team was composed of four orthopedic and cardiology specialists and two nurses. They arrived in Asuncion Oct.13 and, in conjunction with Itaugua's medical staff, performed the 15 joint replacement surgeries in less than 10 days.
國際合作發展基金會醫療團由四名整形外科和心臟病專家及兩名護士組成。他們十月十三日聯同伊陶瓜的醫務人員抵達亞松森，在不到十天內，做了十五次關節置換手術。
The ICDF is the Taiwan government's international aid arm under
the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
國際合作發展基金會是我國政府的國際援助機構，由外交部負責監督。
