French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk are holding talks aimed at deepening cooperation, with security and defense policy high on the agenda, along with choices for top positions in the European Union.The two leaders also are expected to discuss reviving on a regular basis consultations between France, Germany and Poland known as the Weimar Triangle, which have languished for the past several years. All three countries have troops in Afghanistan, which also will figure in the summit.
Economic and energy issues are to be a focus of Thursday's talks, including possible construction in Poland of a nuclear power plant using French know-how.
