U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Alexander Vershbow is holding talks at the Czech Defense Ministry about military cooperation between Washington and Prague.Vershbow's Friday visit comes two weeks after Vice President Joe Biden won the Czech support for a reworked U.S. missile defense plan.
The Obama administration scrapped Bush-era blueprints to base a missile defense shield in the Czech Republic and Poland designed to shoot down long-range missiles
The new system is focused on short- and medium-range interceptors.
Biden said a high-level team of experts would come in November to discuss the possible Czech participation.
