Brazil's leader says President Barack Obama isn't paying enough attention to Latin America and risks losing the chance to improve relations with the region.President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva says that Obama has done little in Latin America since taking office other than taking a stand against the coup in Honduras.
Silva acknowledges that Obama is busy with two wars and his domestic agenda.
The Brazilian business daily Valor in Friday editions quotes Silva as saying that he is concerned about Colombia giving American military personnel more access to its military bases.
Silva wants explicit guarantees that U.S. soldiers won't cross Colombia's borders into other nations.
