The county government's Cultural Bureau has in recent years made every effort to promote the rich cultural heritage of Lukang, which is seen as an ancient cultural capital.
The bureau has completed projects to renovate Lungshan Temple, Fongshan Temple, Lukang Gate and Lukang Assembly Hall. It has also completed the registration of other cultural assets such as Lukang Eryunzhai nankuan music ensemble, tin craft, traditional wood carving and lantern color painting.
