Taiwanese food group Imei will launch a series of pink wedding present boxes featuring drawings from famous Taiwanese cartoonist Jimmy today, the company said yesterday. The outside of the boxes will feature roses drawn by the artist, symbolizing the happiness of the newly weds. Apart from the artistic contribution from a well-known talent, the content will also be out of the ordinary, according to the company. The first of three levels inside the boxes will contain moaji pine seeds, symbol for many children and even more grandchildren.

The two other levels will offer dozens of small European-style sweets, completing an interesting mix of Chinese and Western tastes.

The launch of the boxes coincides with the wedding of Imei Chairman T. C. Kao's grandson, giving the new design by Jimmy an even deeper meaning. The combination of tradition and art has resulted in a creative precedent for the world of biscuits.
