Taiwan's CPC to buy heavy, low-sulfur crude in January

CPC Corp., Taiwan's state oil refiner, is seeking to buy low-sulfur, heavy crude for its January loading, the company said in a notice on its Web-site. Low-sulfur or "sweet" grades have less than 0.5 percent sulfur by weight. Heavy crude oil typically yield a larger amount of fuel oil compared with lighter grades, which produce more gasoline and diesel or heating oil.
