Detectives in the state of Missouri are investigating whether members of a family already charged with sexually abusing children may have also killed several people.

A search warrant returned Tuesday includes few details, and none about the identities of the victims of the alleged slayings or how many may have actually occurred. Investigators say they are taking the claims seriously, but are focused on the sexual assault case.

Prosecutors have charged Burrell E. Mohler Sr. with rape, sodomy and use of a child in a sexual performance. He does not yet have an attorney. His four sons are also charged with rape.

The search warrant says three women who say they were abused as children also observed "several murders," and it details how they say they were forced to help kill and bury a man.
