Russian anti-racists attack pro-Kremlin group
Associated Press
2009-11-18 08:00 PM
The leader of a pro-Kremlin youth group says dozens of anti-racist activists have vandalized its office in Moscow.

The leader of the Young Russia group Maxim Mishchenko said Wednesday that some 80 masked men pelted the group's office with stones and trash.

No one was hurt in the attack on Tuesday. Police said one attacker was detained.

The anti-racist bloggers said Wednesday the attack was in revenge for the Monday killing of a leading anti-racist activist Ivan Khutorskoy.

They allege the Kremlin-backed group has links to Russian ultranationalist groups who were allegedly involved in Khutorskoy's killing. Mischenko denied the allegations.
