He says the Democratic Party of Kosovo is thinking of dropping its junior partner, the Democratic League of Kosovo, after it sided Thursday with an opposition party in the country's mayoral run-offs. No decision has been made yet.
The announcement comes days after Kosovo's first local poll since independence. The poll took place amid renewed tensions among ethnic Albanians, but was hailed as a success because some minority Serbs voted despite calls for a boycott.
Mayoral candidates face run-offs in 20 of 36 municipalities.
