Albert Camus' children are divided over whether to support a proposal by President Nicolas Sarkozy to move the Nobel Prize-winning author's remains to a mausoleum where many French luminaries are buried.Sarkozy has said it would be an "extraordinary symbol" for Camus' remains to be moved to the Pantheon for the 50th anniversary of his death in January _ but that he would need the family's approval.
Camus' daughter, Catherine, told French radio Saturday that she has doubts about a transfer of the remains from a cemetery in southern France. Her brother, Jean, is said to oppose any transfer because the author of "The Stranger" was reluctant to accept honors.
Camus died in a car crash on Jan. 4, 1960 at age 46.
