Crosby's goal in OT lifts Penguins over Panthers

Sidney Crosby scored on a power play at 3:07 of overtime as the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period to beat the Florida Panthers 3-2 in the NHL on Monday.

Pascal Dupuis and Michael Rupp also scored for the Penguins, who won consecutive games in regulation for the first time since Oct. 17 and 20. Evgeni Malkin had two assists.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 19 shots for the Penguins, who outshot Florida 45-21.

Nathan Horton and Keith Ballard scored for the Panthers. Michael Frolik had two assists, and Tomas Vokoun made 42 saves.

Islanders 4, Maple Leafs 3, OT

At Toronto, Dwayne Roloson made 58 saves and Josh Bailey scored 4:18 into overtime to lift New York over Toronto.

Bailey took a pass from Sean Bergenheim and slammed the puck into an open net. It was the Islanders' only shot of the extra period. Jeff Tambellini, Matt Moulson and Bergenheim also scored for New York.

Phil Kessel, Wayne Primeau and Niklas Hagman scored for the Maple Leafs (4-11-7), who outshot the Islanders 61-21. The 40-year-old Roloson improved to 7-2-5 this season.

Predators 3, Red Wings 1

At Nashville, Tennessee, Martin Erat scored two goals as Nashville beat Detroit for its sixth straight victory.

The streaking Predators finished off a five-game homestand in style and have won 10 of 12 overall.

Jason Arnott also scored a power-play goal for Nashville. Pekka Rinne, who has been in net for each game during this run, stopped 30 shots for the win.

Drew Miller scored for Detroit, which has lost three of four.

Rangers 7, Blue Jackets 4

At New York, Marian Gaborik again sparked the offense with two goals and two assists, but this time he had lots of long-awaited help in New York's victory over Columbus.

Sean Avery also scored twice and Henrik Lundqvist made 26 saves for the Rangers, who strung together seven straight goals after falling behind 2-0.

New York scored three times in the first to take the lead and then added four goals in the second against Blue Jackets starting goalie Steve Mason and beleaguered backup Mathieu Garon.

Rookie defensemen Michael Del Zotto and Matt Gilroy also scored for the Rangers. Artem Anisimov had a goal and two assists.

Senators 4, Capitals 3, OT

At Ottawa, Mike Fisher scored 1:14 into overtime to give Ottawa a comeback victory over Washington.

Fisher batted Chris Phillips' centering pass out of the air and past Semyon Varlamov for his 10th goal of the season. Brian Elliott made 25 saves in his fifth start for the Senators, who rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the third period to win their fourth in a row and wrap up a 4-0-1 homestand.

Rookie Jay Beagle got his first NHL goal to put Washington up 3-1 in the second after Chris Clark and Brendan Morrison scored in the first.

Bruins 4, Blues 2

At St. Louis, Patrice Bergeron had four assists, two on power-play goals and another short-handed, to help Boston beat St. Louis for its first three-game winning streak of the season.

Milan Lucic got the go-ahead goal midway through the second period and Marco Sturm scored short-handed midway through the third for a two-goal cushion on Boston's 20th shot against Chris Mason.

Blake Wheeler and Mark Recchi also scored for the defending Northeast Division champions.

Defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo had a goal and an assist, and Keith Tkachuk scored on a deflection for the Blues.
