Russian authorities say two police officers and two other people have been killed in separate attacks in volatile North Caucasus provinces.An Interior Ministry official in Ingushetia says a police officer and his daughter were shot dead Tuesday by unidentified gunmen near regional capital Nazran.
Another official said that in the province of Kabardino-Balkariya authorities on Monday found beheaded bodies of a police officer and an official with the regional bailiff service. The bodies had gunshot wounds.
Chechnya and neighboring North Caucasus provinces have remained mired in violence stemming from wars between separatist Chechen rebels and the Russian government.
