The Ottawa Senators went to the top of the NHL's Northeast Division with a 2-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday.Nick Foligno scored the winner with a power-play goal with six minutes left. Foligno moved out from behind the net to put a backhander past goaltender Steve Mason with Columbus defenseman Jan Hejda in the penalty box.
Jason Spezza scored late in the first for Ottawa and Brian Elliott stopped 32 shots in his third straight start as the Senators moved above Boston in the Northeast standings.
Columbus' goal came from Kristian Huselius on a power-play, and Mason finished with 34 saves. The Blue Jackets, finishing a five-game road trip, dropped their fourth in a row.

In Vancouver, British Columbia, Henrik Sedin set up Vancouver's first goal and scored the go-ahead goal four minutes into the third period in the win over Los Angeles.
Tanner Glass jammed in a rebound just over 3 minutes later, Kyle Wellwood scored his first of the season into an empty net with 5 seconds left, and Roberto Luongo made 31 saves.
Sedin set up Alex Burrows' goal early in the first period by winning a faceoff in the offensive zone, and did the same to put the Canucks back ahead for good in the third. After winning the puck back to Alexander Edler for a point shot, he went to the net and cashed in the rebound.
