Indonesia seals medals table win at SEA Games

Indonesia took its total tally to 162 golds on Monday to make sure it will top the final medals table at the 26th Southeast Asian Games.

The host country has 60 more golds than second-place Thailand with 32 events still to be decided.

Thailand won five events Monday increase its total to 102 golds, while Vietnam only claimed three to trail with 92.

Myanmar and the Philippines claimed four golds each while Singapore and Malaysia won one each.

Indonesia also has a chance to win gold in football, the most popular sport at the games, when it plays Malaysia in Monday's final at Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno stadium.

About 6,000 athletes from 11 countries are participating in the biennial games, which run until Tuesday in Jakarta, Palembang and West Java.
