Taipei, May 7 (CNA) Two Chinese students studying at a Taiwanese university said Tuesday that they want to find and thank two watermelon farmers who gave them a ride when they missed their last bus last weekend. Zhang Guiting and Yu Hong, who are studying at Chung Chou University of Science and Technology in the central county of Changhua, said they visited Maioli County Saturday but missed their last bus back. They decided to walk to the railway station and take the train back to Changhua, but became worried as it was getting dark. The two young women then saw a watermelon truck pass by and asked the men in the truck how far away they were from the station. The two farmers offered the students a ride and gave them NT$2,000 (US$68) cash at the station. The students said they would never forget the kindness of Taiwanese people, and added that they hope to find the two farmers with the university's help so that they can return the money to them.
