Taipei, July 3 (CNA) Paraguay's new ambassador to Taiwan Marcial Bobadilla Guillen will present his letter of credence to President Ma Ying-jeou soon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Wednesday. The ambassador, who arrived in Taiwan in late June, is expected to present his letter of credence to Ma by the end of July, after he delivered a copy of credentials to Taiwan's Foreign Minister David Lin on Tuesday, according to the ministry. Lin extended his warm welcome to the Paraguayan ambassador and expected that bilateral ties would continue to grow, the ministry said in a statement issued late Wednesday. Paraguay is one of Taiwan's 23 diplomatic allies. The two countries established diplomatic ties in 1957. (By Elaine Hou)
