NEWCASTLE, England (AP) -- Sunderland forward Stephane Sessegnon has been charged with drunk driving after being arrested while his teammates played a League Cup match.

Police said the Benin attacking midfielder was arrested in Newcastle on Tuesday and will appear at a magistrates' court on Oct. 4.
