Delegation to explore green energy market in Japan

Taipei, Nov. 16 (CNA) Representatives from Taiwanese green energy providers will head to Japan Sunday to seek opportunities for cooperation, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) said Saturday. The trip is set to run Nov. 17-23 and take the delegation to the cities of Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo to meet with some 200 Japanese counterparts. Taiwanese firms participating include AcBel Polytech Inc., Delta Networks, Inc., and LOGA Solar Application Co., Ltd., TAITRA said. Some of the businesses they will be meeting are Kuroda Electric Co., Ltd., Panasonic Corporation and Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. This is the second year in a row that TAITRA has led a green energy delegation to Japan. The agency hopes to make headway in green energy product collaboration, including on LED lighting, smart power grids and solar energy. (By Huang Chiao-wen and Lee Hsin-Yin)
