Taipei, Dec. 7 (CNA) Changhua County successfully set a record for the most people cooking oyster omelets simultaneously on Saturday after a strong mobilization effort by the county. Starting at 2:30 p.m., 2,944 people entered the venue at Lugang Junior High School to cook the dish using ingredients provided by the county government. Officials from the Guinness World Records insisted that the cooking process had to take at least 30 minutes. Some of the participants failed to meet the standard by going home early, leaving the record-setting number of cooks at 2,801. This was another food milestone for Changhua County after it set the record for the largest meat ball (685 kilograms) and biggest dish of stewed pork rice (647 kilograms) last year.
