Taipei, Dec. 8 (CNA) Taiwanese-American singer Leehom Wang returned to Taiwan Sunday evening, but his new bride was not seen at the airport with him. He flew from Hong Kong to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on Sunday after transiting through Taiwan on his way to Hong Kong two days ago. The 37-year-old Wang, sporting a pair of sunglasses and a cap and dressed almost completely in black, left the airport shortly after his arrival without making any comments to the local media. It was not immediately known what he will be doing in Taiwan and how long he will stay here. Wang, a heartthrob among many Taiwanese fans, took to his Weibo and Facebook pages on Nov. 27 to disclose his romance with his girlfriend, 27-year-old Lee Jinglei, for the first time. The couple then tied the knot in the United States a day later. The singer's announcement drew a swarm of media attention and speculation, including reports that questioned the singer's sexuality and portrayed his wife as a "party girl" who broke up with her ex-fiance to be with Wang. But Wang responded that he was "very happy" with married life and would not pay attention to rumors that have appeared in Taiwanese media about the marriage. (By Bien Chen-feng and Elaine Hou)
