CARDIFF, Wales (AP) -- Wales coach Warren Gatland has gone with the tried and tested in selecting his 32-man squad for the defense of its Six Nations title.

There are no new faces in a squad that includes center Jonathan Davies, even though he will miss the first three rounds with a chest injury sustained during the November test series.

Sam Warburton also hasn't played since the autumn internationals because of a shoulder injury but is named as captain.

Gatland says on Tuesday "we've picked a pretty experienced squad and kept it fairly tight at this stage."

The Welsh are aiming to become the first team to win three straight Six Nations titles. Their opening match is against Italy in Cardiff on Feb. 1.
