PARIS (AP) -- Resurgent Lyon extended its unbeaten run to 10 games in all competitions after securing a 2-0 win at Reims in the French league on Sunday.

Goals from striker Alexandre Lacazette and midfielder Gueida Fofana moved the seven-time French champion up to eighth place.

Lacazette scored in the 25th minute when he turned in left back Henri Bedimo's cross. Midfielder Yoann Gourcuff went close with a 30-meter freekick and striker Bafetimbi Gomis had a late effort saved. Fofana wrapped up the win with a fine finish in the 84th after being set up by captain Maxime Gonalons.

The only downside for Lyon was a shoulder injury to defender Miguel Lopes, who was replaced.

Later Sunday, French leader hosts Nantes and second-place Monaco travel to mid-table Toulouse.
