PORTO, Portugal (AP) -- Radamel Falcao has undergone knee surgery and there is a chance the Colombia striker will be fit in time for the World Cup.

The Portuguese doctor who performed the operation Saturday says "there's a possibility of him going" to the tournament in June.

Jose Carlos Noronha told reporters at the hospital in Porto, northern Portugal, that "it's not out of the question" and gave Falcao a better than 50 percent chance of making it to Brazil.
