BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -- Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino is concentrating on keeping his players focused on the games ahead in the aftermath of the sudden departure of club president Sandro Rosell.

Martino says it is "the moment to focus on football and making sure the squad keeps its spirits up."

Rosell quit on Thursday amid a lawsuit that alleges he misappropriated funds by hiding the real cost of the transfer of Brazil striker Neymar with false contracts. Josep Bartomeu was promoted from vice president to take his place.

Martino says "this isn't the best situation, (...) we have to do our part on the pitch. Playing well is what we can do to help" the club.

Barcelona plays Malaga on Sunday looking to maintain its share of the Spanish league lead with Atletico Madrid.
