PARIS (AP) -- French league leader Paris Saint-Germain narrowly avoided a second straight loss after scraping a 1-1 draw at mid-table Guingamp on Saturday thanks to center half Alex's late header.

PSG lost 2-1 at home to Montpellier in the French Cup on Wednesday and was outplayed by Guingamp for much of the match, with star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic having a rare off day.

Striker Mustapha Yatabare rose impressively to head Guingamp in front from Rachid Alioui's corner in the 84th minute, but Alex did exactly the same from a PSG corner three minutes later.

Second-place Monaco can close the gap at the top to three points if beats Marseille at home on Sunday.
