Temperatures dip as cold front peaks

Taipei, Feb. 11 (CNA) Temperatures in most of Taiwan dropped to their lowest levels this winter Tuesday morning, with Hsinchu reporting only seven degrees Celsius and Yilan's Taipingshan, at about 1,900 meters above sea level, seeing a dusting of snow. According to the Central Weather Bureau, the current cold front reached its peak early this morning, bringing temperatures to below 10 degrees Celsius to all areas north of Tainan in western Taiwan and to Yilan in the northeast.
