Shanghai, March 12 (CNA) Spring Airlines, a Shanghai-based budget carrier, will launch a "love flight" from Shanghai to Taipei Thursday, carrying seven Chinese men and seven Chinese women on an onboard blind date. The 14 will meet in person for the first time after the plane takes off, according to Spring Airlines, which organized the promotional event. In a 20-minute session, the men will introduce themselves one by one to each of the women, who will indicate their preference by pressing a light switch on their armrests. The men will then decide whether or not to return the compliment, the airline said. On arrival in Taiwan, the Chinese will embark on a four-day tour, accompanied by a Taiwanese man and a Taiwanese woman selected to join the activity, Spring Airlines said. On average, the participants are 30 years old and most of the women either own a company or work as a mid-level executive, according to the airline. (By Eva Feng and Elizabeth Hsu)
