Taiwanese tennis duo wins Seoul Open Women's Challenger

Taipei, April 26 (CNA) Taiwanese tennis players Chan Chin-wei and Chuang Chia-jung won the women's doubles at the ITF Seoul Open Women's Challenger Saturday. Chuang and Chan beat Irena Pavlovic of France and Kristyna Pliskova of the Czech Republic 6-4, 6-3. Chuang took a break of more than one year following wrist surgery in late 2012, and has mainly competed in doubles matches since her comeback. Her success in Seoul marked her first victory since her return to the tennis circuit. Meanwhile, Taiwan's Lu Yen-hsun lost to Gilles Muller of Luxembourg 6-7 (11-13), 4-6 in the men's singles semifinals at the ATP Shenzhen Challenger. Lu will next compete in the Taipei Challenger, which opened that same day at the National Taiwan University Gym. (By Lee Yu-cheng and Lilian Wu)
