Taipei, April 29 (CNA) A Vietnamese man was being treated in a Taichung hospital Tuesday after suffering stab wounds to the abdomen during a melee that took place in neighboring Nantou County two days earlier. Police identified the man as a migrant worker who had run away from his job in violation of his contract. The three others involved in the fight were also runaway workers from Vietnam, they said. The stabbing victim, who police did not name, suffered severe injuries that reportedly left his internal organs exposed. Police said the three other men went to the place he was living to talk about "employment problems," resulting in a heated argument that developed into the physical altercation that ended with the stabbing. Law enforcement rushed to the site based on a tip off, where they discovered the wounded man and arrested the three others allegedly involved in the fight. (By Lin Heng-li and Evelyn Kao)
