Acer's April revenue new low in over 2 years

Taipei, May 12 (CNA) The consolidated revenue of Acer Inc. reached NT$19.25 billion (US$637.2 million) in April, the lowest single-month level since January 2012, the Taiwanese personal computer maker said Monday. The April revenue represented a drop of 37.47 percent from the NT$30.79 billion in March, and a 25.29 percent decline from the same month of last year, the company said. The accumulated consolidated revenues in the first four months of the years amounted to NT$95.98 billion, representing an annual decline of 18.36 percent. Analysts said that with the introduction of new products, the PC maker's revenue is expected to increase in May and June. (By Lo Hsiu-wen and Elizabeth Hsu)
