ISLAMABAD (AP) -- Zaka Ashraf is back as Pakistan Cricket Board chairman for the second time this year after a court invalidated the government's decision to replace the PCB governing board with its own management committee.

On Saturday, Justice Noor-ul-Haq Qureshi of the Islamabad High Court nullified the government's move in February which had seen the management committee elect Najam Sethi as PCB chairman.

Ashraf's lawyer Afnan Karim Kundi says because "the judge has invalidated the management committee ... it means Ashraf is back as head of the PCB."

Ashraf was first restored in January by the same court after he was suspended last year on the grounds of not holding transparent elections for PCB chairman.

Sethi took several key decisions during his three-month tenure that included the appointment of the selection committee, head coach and batting coach.
