Taipei, May 22 (CNA) The New Taipei City Council called for swift justice Thursday following the bloody knife attack on a Taipei Metro train that left four dead and 24 injured. The city council made the call in a resolution that urged judicial authorities to make a "speedy ruling" on Cheng Chieh, the 21-year-old allegedly responsible for the attack on the train as it traveled between Taipei and New Taipei Wednesday afternoon. Chen Hung-yuan, vice speaker of the New Taipei Council and chair of the meeting, announced a one-minute silence out of respect for the victims before promptly passing the resolution.
