Taipei, May 25 (CNA) A chartered flight by Taiwanese airliner TransAsia Airways will soon be dispatched to bring back Taiwanese tourists who were seriously injured in a bus accident in China, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications said Sunday. The flight is expected to arrive in Taiwan at around 4 a.m. Monday, the ministry's Civil Aeronautics Administration said. The bus carrying 26 people -- 24 of them from Taiwan -- plunged into the Jiulong River in Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province in rainy conditions two days earlier. Among the Taiwanese travelers, three have been confirmed dead and four remain unaccounted for. A total of six Taiwanese tourists who sustained only minor injuries had returned to Taiwan as of Sunday afternoon. The Zhangzhou government in Fujian said that as of Saturday evening, more than 2,500 personnel and 184 vessels had been dispatched to take part in search and rescue efforts, according to a local media report in Zhangzhou.
