NIA holds 2014 anti-human trafficking cartoon competition

The authority has been taking every effort to prevent the human trafficking these years. In addition, the National Immigration Agency also had signed a memorandum of understanding to combat human smuggling and trafficking on May 31 to allow for more effective identification, investigation and prosecution of human smugglers and networks operating on Taiwan and in the US. The NIA also use different media and contests to promote the concept of preventing the illegal human smuggling.

This year, the NIA also organizes the cartoon contest for preventing the human trafficking. It’s the first time to hold the four-frame cartoons competition as well as promote the concept of 4P which comprises of “Prevention”, “Prosecution”, “Protection” and “Partnership.”

The incumbent Director-General of the NIA Mo Tien-hu values the investigation and prevention for human trafficking, the NIA said.

The NIA appeals to people to be active to report the sexual and labors exploitations to promote the preventions jointly.

It begins soliciting the contributions now and will close on August 12, welcoming the cartoonists to join this activity. There is no age limit and restriction on nationality of the contestants.
