Washington, June 11 (CNA) Taiwan signed an agreement with the U.S. state of Delaware Wednesday to recognize driver's licenses issued by the other side. The pact with Delaware is the seventh of its kind between Taiwan and U.S. states after similar ones with Maryland, Idaho, Florida, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. The latest agreement was signed by Shen Lyushun, Taiwan's representative to the United States, and Delaware Governor Jack Markell. Effective immediately, Taiwanese who hold legal resident status in Delaware and a valid Taiwan driver's license can obtain a Delaware driver's license without taking a test. Holders of Delaware driver's licenses can enjoy the same treatment in Taiwan. (By Tony Liao and Y.F. Low)
