SAO PAULO (AP) -- Brazilian health inspectors have found spoiled food at the stadium in Recife, one of 12 cities hosting World Cup matches, but it's unclear whether it was eaten by anyone.

Ivete Buril, secretary of health for Pernambuco state, told local media over the weekend that the problem has been reported to soccer's international governing body, FIFA, and to the food vendor that supplied the items.

The National Health Surveillance Agency is participating in the investigation because the vendor is supplying food to other stadiums hosting the tournament.

Arena Pernambuco will host Monday's match between Croatia and Mexico. The United States will play Germany there on Thursday.
