PRISTINA, Kosovo (AP) -- A Kosovo court has ordered 30 days' detention for three ethnic Albanians suspected of forming a terrorist group and recruiting volunteers to fight in Syria alongside extremist Sunni rebels. A fourth suspect is at large.

The prosecution alleges three suspects, identified as Ilir Berisha, Sedat Topojani and fugitive Burim Ballazhi, fought in Syria on the side of extremist elements that include the al-Qaida-inspired Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and its affiliate Nusra Front. Together with the fourth suspects, Jetmir Kycyku, the group recruiteded followers in Kosovo "and motivated them to join terrorist organisations to fight in Syria," according to a prosecution document obtained by The Associated Press on Friday.

Kosovo lawmakers recently passed legislation with prison sentences of up to 15 years for those joining armed groups abroad.
