Taiwanese Fighters Sweep One FC: War of Dragons

One Fighting Championship’s War of Dragons event debuted in spectacular fashion at Taipei’s NTU Sports Center Friday. A near capacity crowd was treated to 10 exciting mixed martial arts bouts broadcast live to over 70 countries around the world. The atmosphere was electric as the hometown crowd cheered three of Taiwan’s native sons.

It proved to be a momentous day for Taiwanese fighters Paul Cheng, Sung Ming Yen, and Jeff Huang who swept their opposition for a perfect 3-0 record for the evening. Jeff Huang started the win streak will a 1st round ground and pound TKO over Bala Shetty at the 3 minute and 21 second mark. Sung Ming Yen immediately followed up with another 1st round win by mounted guillotine choke against Nick Lee at 1 minute and 10 seconds. Paul Cheng then made it 3-0 when his opponent Mahmound Hassan’s corner stopped the fight between the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

One Fighting Championship’s next event, Reign of Champions, will take place in Dubai at the Dubai World Trade Center on August 29.
