GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) -- Canadian cyclist Nic Hamilton is out of the track events at the Commonwealth Games after colliding with a technical official Wednesday on the eve of the competition.

The 27-year-old Hamilton suffered a concussion, while a Cycling Canada statement said the female technical official also suffered a concussion and a broken collarbone.

Hamilton, who was coming out of the final corner at the games' velodrome when he hit the official, will be sidelined for seven days due to concussion protocols.

If assessed fit after a week, he could take part in some road events later in the games.
