H1 profit of OTC companies grows 15.6% YOY

The GreTai securities market stated, all OTC companies have submitted first half earnings reports. After tallying, 106 companies posted EPS of NT$2 or more in the top half of the year. The revenue and profit performance of all OTC companies in the first half of 2014 surpassed the same period last year with growth rates of 7.84% and 15.62%, respectively.

GreTai stated, all OTC and emerging companies have completed submission of first half earnings reports as of August 14 according to regulations. The 662 OTC companies, not including 8 financial holding and securities companies, and 252 emerging companies, not including 3 banks and insurance companies and 1 non-calendar year based foreign emerging company, Norr Offshore Group Ltd. (5279), have completed submission of earnings reports. According to statistics, 106 companies posted EPS of NT$2 or more in the top half of the year.

GreTai further remarked, not including financial holding and securities companies, overall revenue of OTC companies for the top half of the 2014 totaled NT$925.6 billion, gaining NT$67.3 billion or 7.84% compared to the same period in 2013. Overall net income before taxes totaled NT$62.2 billion, increasing NT$8.4 billion or 15.62% year-on-year.

GreTai pointed out, 50 OTC companies posted net income per share of over NT$3 for the first half of 2014 and 56 companies posted net income per share between NT$2 and NT$3. Of the 662 OTC companies, 480 or 72.5% were profitable before taxes.
