Taiwan's CPI hits 18-month high in August

Taipei, Sept. 5 (CNA) Taiwan's consumer price index (CPI) rose 2.07 percent annually in August to hit an 18-month high, government statistics showed Friday. The wholesale price index rose 0.12 percent from a year ago, the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) said.
