The first international branded resort in Tashee, Taoyuan was recently launched. This town has previously been known as a golf haven in Taiwan and as the home to a rich cultural heritage. The top-line resort amenities, location, and great views overlooking a golf course and mountain has made the Westin Tashee Resort an instant hit among high-income families in Taiwan and international guests looking for an exceptionally relaxing and comfortable experience. As you enter the resort lobby, a tabletop botanical garden can be easily spotted. Dozens of white orchids elegantly arranged in tall glass vases along with white hydrangeas, green trick dianthus, and green pittosporum creates a graceful, vibrant, yet tranquil ambiance that provides guests with peace of mind. On the left side of the lobby, the pure white teaware in various shapes are individually placed in individual slots on teak shelves, gently reminding the guests, without any words, that they are in a town best known for its traditional tea making. To better apply the concept of wellness, the resort is partnering with well-known Taiwanese chef André Chiang to roll out healthy and natural menu options prepared with local ingredients exclusively for Westin Tashee’s health-minded diners. At the Westin Tashee Resort, you will feel like a part of the nature and that may explain why the resort has become a popular weekend getaway. Kang indicated that 85 percent of guests are locals, with many coming with children. To allow parents a moment of peace alone, the resort is equipped with a large kid’s club, encouraging timid children temporarily away from their parents, to either play golf or uplift themselves with pool or spa services. Kang said the resort is aiming to attract more international high-end tourists from the booming Southeast Asian markets apart from China. Kang expressed optimism in Taiwan’s tourism market, saying that to tap tourism demand, the Westin will expand its presence in the Taiwanese market in the future.
