A group of Taiwanese artists visited Thailand with a special purpose to increase contacts and professional exchanges in the art related fields, in an effort to put in place the cultural aspects of the government’s “New Southward Policy.”
Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan’s arts and cultural organization Bamboo Curtain Studio (BCS) led a delegation of Taiwanese artists to Thailand to visit local art and cultural groups, with an aim to promote understanding and development of bilateral exchange in the art field.
On Friday, artists from the two sides gathered at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center, a place served as a dynamic platform for dialogue and exchange among international artists, and shared views and experience on art creation.
Marketing and Publicity Manager of the BCS, Bess Lee, said that Thailand is a place full of potential artists with superior creativity. Since the government’s “New Southward Policy” serves differently from the southward policy in the past which put greater emphasis on economic exchange, the visit supports the new policy in ways to promote arts and cultural exchange between the two sides.
